Day 4: Friday, September 13

13 september 2013 - Sozopol, Bulgarije

Business
Because it's the end of the summer season, we went to the coast to pick up the Frappechino machines to stock them during the winter in Kazanlak.
We picked up 10 machines and also asked for the selling statistics, to make the accountant happy, so that he can calculate everything as input to Georgi who does not really like this paperwork.

Traveling
We drove to the coast where we first visited Burgas, 200 km from Kazanlak, next Sozopol (another 35 km) and finally Primorsko, 20 km from Sozopol.
Bulgaria has a low inhabitant rate. There are many open places with nature and fields, and the few city's that Bulgaria has, consist of high appartment buildings, inerited from the Soviet period. So it definitly looks different than Belgium.

Culture
You should not go to the beach without having a swim. So we took a swim and built a tunnel in the sand. My tunnel was off course the most beautiful. (But Georgi didn't agree). We also walked through the new part (especially shops) and old part of Sozopol. It's a typical coast resort, but very cosy.

Lifestyle
Today we met partners of Georgi who are responsible for the sales in Sozopol.  They learned me the typical reasoning of Bulgarian businessmen. 'There are no fixed prices. Scandinavian inhabitants are used to pay 10 euros for a beer, so why should I ask 1 euro  if I kan ask 5? If there is a sport training, increase the water price, they will pay. Everybody who is passing by is your friend, so let them know. Except for the older ladies, you can laugh with them and call them grandmother.'I like the Bulgarian way of doing business.
