Day 6: Sunday, September 15

Activities

Today we went for a hike. We drove to Bagarevo were we started our walk. ( I forgot to tell that the Balkan mountains cross the center of Bulgaria from east to west.) Because I always have to be a little clumsy, I fell in the water. My shoes were totally  wet. After, we went to Yanko's place to eat. It's a cosy and quiet place where we stayed last year a few days with the Belgian people that participated in 'man in the mirror'. It was very nostalgia, we had a great time there last year.  An, Freya, Naomi, Eve, ..., I missed you guys there!
Next, we drove to the parents of Yonka who have a very nice old house with a beautiful garden. In the garden they have al kinds of fruit, a lot of cages where they breed bees AND an old Lada car. Her father showed us how they cultivate the bees, opened the cages and cut off some honey of the wax. Delicious! In the evening, we went with Yonka to the parents of Georgi. They live in one of the many identical old apartment buildings a little bit out of the center. The apartments are typical Bulgarian.They are not pretty, but I like the way the Bulgarian 'pimp ' their own apartment. They're all different: different colours, balconies, lights, ...It gives character to the old buildings.
At the end of the day, I was very tired and quickly felt asleep. I wanted to be ready for the start of the new week!
