Day 9: Wednesday, September 18

18 september 2013 - Sofia, Bulgarije

Business
I got up early to have some more try-outs with the frappechino glasses, that now have the logo print. Next, we left to Sofia where we had some business meetings. Thanks to a friend of the parents of Georgi (the wife of the friend/business man is an architect!), Georgi was able to meet the owner of a few hotels, beaches,... We met the businessman at one of his hotels in Sofia, and Georgi presented him his products. He received the number of the owner, and the owner will bring him in touch with the diffferent managers. Next, we went to a pub that is very popular for students and where we also had a direct contact with the owner. It was a businesswoman this time, and again she liked it and gave the number of the manager of the pub to discuss with. This was the part with the good luck.

Next, the bad luck came. On our way back, we were hit by a car. The damage on our car was not that  much, but the other car had to be hoisted.  It took a long time before the police arrived and it took even more time and a long discussion before they said we were right. So the only thing that I've seen in Sofia is businessmen, police, and disaster tourists. I definitely have to go back to visit Sofia!

In the evening, we went for dinner with the businesspartner of Georgi who is responsible for the sales in Sofia and with Ivaylo, a friend I met last year on the 'man in the mirror' and 'man behind the mirror' projects. It was a typical Bulgarian restaurant, with Bulgarian life music etc. It was the last evening, so afterwards we went to drink cocktails! It was a nice evening!

After a 1 hour sleep, I had to go to the airport, and at 6 o' clock, the airplane took off to Belgium!

I left Bulgaria with a satisfied feeling: a nice experience in intrapreneurship combined with meeting a lot of nice places and people: I can recommend it to everyone! Thanks Georgi & Steve!
