Day 1, September 10

10 september 2013 - Kazanlak, Bulgarije

Early in the morning the airplane took off to Bulgaria.
By noon and with one hour of time difference I arrived at the airport in Sofia, where Georgi was already waiting for me. While Belgium was as cloudy and rainy as usual, Bulgaria was as sunny as usual.

Business
Because it was the first day, we started slowly. Georgi made a lot of phone calls, but understanding Bulgarian is a bit too hard for me. But we visited a client in Plovdiv to see if everything was alright with the Frozen Sluchy machine.  To do good business it is important to know your products. So I tasted the Slushyboy ice for children, and the strawberry taste. ;)
I really liked it!

Travelling
Today was a lot of travelling. We visited Plovdiv, the second biggest city of Bulgaria, about 120 km from Sofia. It's a very cosy  city with an old and a new part. There is a beautiful old amfitheatre from where you have a nice view over the city. Loved it!
After that, we went to Kazanlak, again 100 km driving,  where I will stay the rest of the journey at Georgi's place.

Family
Georgi was already waiting for me at the airport, so I really felt welcome. He gave me his room (with a large bed! :) ), and he is going to sleep on the couch ( Belgian guys should take an example of the Bulgarian hospitality)

Activities
In the evening we went to follow the tai chi chuan training that Georgi follows every Tuesday and Thursday. It's a bit weird when you're not used to it (and hard for my muscles), but I must admit it's also very relaxing, and a very good way to finish the day with a very good feeling, and wonder what tomorrow will bring.
